A rising artist in the Perth Jazz scene, Laura Igglesden makes a name for herself through her versatility and commitment to her art form. With a soulful and rich voice reminiscent of her favourite artists, including the likes of Billie Holiday and Nancy Wilson, Laura's sophisticated style is sure to entice. Her earlier background in Musical Theatre and choral music embellishes every note found in her confident and elegant stage presence and aura.
Having completed a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Laura excels in a variety of settings and genres. It is her goal to captivate audiences with the joy of music and evoke empathy from her listeners. Attending and performing at a summer school in New York ignited a strong desire to travel and experience music all over the world. Having now performed in Japan as well as closer to home at the Perth International Arts Festival, Fairbridge Folk Festival and the Perth International Jazz Festival she continues to build her presence in the local scene and the city she loves.

VOCAL TUITION
Laura has been tutoring privately and in schools throughout Perth for the last 4 years. She currently tutors a wide variety of ages and skill sets, from lower Primary to upper High School and adults.
Always striving to get the best sound out of all of her students, Laura likes to encourage her students’ interests in music through creativity and enhancing their skills through ear training and vocal technique. With a wide knowledge of genres and an extensive performance background she is able to cater to any student’s interests.
